* Great Bridge coach Bill Volkman says "the sky's the limit" this season. He has a young team, led by All-American freshman Shakeela Saunders and Breanna Dennis in the sprints and jumps.
* Indian River will be young but talented with freshmen Tiffany Ellick, replica A Lange & Sohne Watches Charve' Bynum, Keenta Nichols, Ingra Butler and Shannon Morton. Braves coach Calvin Freeman says, "We should be able to make some noise as the season goes." Other contributors include Brianna Hill, Diamond Young, Chelsea Gray and Patricia Vontersch.
