The Western Kentucky men's and women's tennis teams opened the 2010 season Saturday with a sweep of visiting Union College.

The men held on for a 4-3 win over the Bulldogs, while the Lady Toppers won 6-1.

The Hilltoppers battled back in singles after both Thomas Krug and Currie Martin fell at the Nos. 1 and 2 singles spots. WKU rallied to win three of the last four singles matches, with Arul Selvan defeating Piere Vernin 6-4, 6-4 to notch the Hilltoppers' first victory of the afternoon. In doubles, Heuff and Vucina defeated Aurelie Hascoet and Ximena Aguilar 8-3, while True and Caplinger won 8-1.

The Lady Toppers travel pandora charms to Southern Indiana on Friday, while the Hilltoppers return to action with the Lady Toppers on Saturday against visiting Lipscomb.
