A HAVE-A-GO hero caught a man who robbed two elderly women.
A court heard Anthony Gillan ran out of t5 tube with led his home in bare feet after his son raised the alarm.
Cocaine addict Michael Colleran, 36, was caught and held by Mr Gillan until police arrived.
Yesterday at Liverpool crown court, Judge David Lynch praised Mr Gillan and awarded him pounds 300.
led fluorescent tubes Prosecutor Deborah Birrell said Colleran struck at 9.10am on October 25, snatching the handbag of a woman, 83, walking home
embroidered patches along County Road in Walton.
Two hours later he snatched a handbag containing more than pounds 1,000 from a woman, 72, in nearby Carisbrooke Road.
Colleran, of Church Road, Walton, admitted both robberies and was jailed for four years.
